Wooden Floor Restorations & Finishing

Beautiful Wooden Floors

Transform your wooden floors, bring them to life

rustic oak wide floor boards with a natural oak finish natural look

We provide professional wooden floor restoration and finishing for period properties, Grade 2 listed, heritage buildings and contemporary homes alike, Whether working with newly installed flooring or restoring original floorboards.
We regularly restore floors that are heavily worn, water damaged, or over a century old, using appropriate finishes to sympathetically revive the timber while retaining its natural character. For newer floors we can create authentic aged effects or subtle finishes that sit comfortably alongside existing interiors.
Our family-run business place strong emphasis on durability and attention to detail. Where required, we can sensitively match floors to existing interior woodwork, furniture, or architectural features to create a cohesive and balanced result.
If you are restoring a historic property or updating a modern home, we are happy to advise on suitable finishes and effects. Please get in touch to discuss your flooring project.

Common Questions about Floors

What finish is best for wooden floors?

The most suitable finish depends on how the floor is used, the type of timber and the level of wear it will receive. We advise on finishes that balance appearance, durability, and ease of maintenance, whether for domestic or higher-traffic areas.

Can you match our floor to existing timber or samples?

We can colour-match floors to suit your interior or work with you if you have a particular colour or effect in mind.  We prepare samples for options.

How long before the floors can be walked on?

Drying times vary depending on product used , usually between 4-6 hours to walk without shoes , 24 hours with shoes, but we recommend leaving as long as possible before adding furniture and we advise to use protection pads on table and chair legs to avoid scratching while the finish fully cures.

Can the work be done with minimal disruption?

Yes. We plan floor work carefully to minimise disruption and dust. Where possible, we phase the work so access can be maintained, and we take steps to protect surrounding areas.

How do I get a quote for my floor/ floors?

We usually ask for photos + dimensions if possible and then discuss details.  In some cases, a site visit may be recommended to further assess. Give us a call or fill out a contact form below or on our contact page here.
